09:42 AM ET 05.13 | Castrol released it's first Castrol Index for MLS and New York Red Bulls striker Thierry Henry leads the list with a 9.24 ranking. The Index is a proprietary technology that objectively ranks a player's performance and is now used in five major European Leagues and the UEFA Champions League, analyzing and tracking every players move.

Bayern says farewell to Andreas Ottl, Thomas Kraft and Hamit Altintop. All will be missed. What bothers me is that Breno is not on this list.

Klose receives interest from Sunderland, Dortmund, Italy and Turkey. Bayern is offering a one year contract extension, Klose wants two years, we'll see.

Manuel Neuer is on his way to Bayern. Annoucement after conclusion of season. Transfer fee is 18 million euro. If Bayern wins the Bundesliga they owe Schalke 3 million more. If they also win the Champions League in Munich next season, Bayern owes Schalke an additional 4 million on top. So the deal could be worth as much as 26 million.

Liverpool offer Werder Bremen 10 million euro for the services of Marko Marin.

I still hate Manchester United.

Messi is god. That is all.

MLS' best franchize is virtually homeless. That says something. And it's not something positive.

What's really sad is the DCU doesn't even have a lease (they pay the city rent from game to game) and the city hasn't held up their end of the bargain, as the owners of the stadium, by doing maintenance.

Are they really MLS best franchise? Maybe at one point, but not anymore. I think that goes to Salt Lake or even Seattle.

I thought I had read that there is another guaranteed 4mill Euro due by end of 2012 so total guaranteed was 22 + the incentives you describe.

To the topic: Any system that has Julius James, proprietary or otherwise (who cares if it's proprietary? Do you they know what the word means?), ranked in the top 50 of MLS players is inherently flawed. Castrol needs to take their proprietary system and think long and hard about how they calculate their totals.

During inquiry in to charges of racism against Biscuits, he claims that he did not "call Marcelo a monkey", but instead told him that he (Marcelo) "had a lot of nerve". Maybe, but why cover your mouth if that's all you said? Weak sauce.

I wonder if Neuer gets hurt and does not play would Bayern still we the the money if they win?
