07:07 AM ET 05.14 | Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar is currently engaging in round two of his fight against the intestinal ailment diverticulitis. The disease, which forced him to take a year away from the sport between 2009-2010 and to also consider retirement, has flared up again and forced him out of a planned bout with his opposing The Ultimate Fighter 13 coach Junior dos Santos. Lesnar recently spoke with media (props to MMAMania) about his latest diverticulitis-related setback. "I'll tell you one thing. I'm not retiring," assured the 33-year-old. "This isn't the end of my fight career.

This latest diverticulitis-related setback is saving him from a beatdown by Dos Santos. Brockie doesn't like being pummeled... if Carwin had any card-i-o he would have easily won that fight. Can't make chicken salad out of chicken sheet, ya know!

What is the deal with what he has? I have never heard of it...

I find it strange that people hate this guy so much...It's not like he's that much different than any of the other guys in MMA. He was an absolute force as an amateur wrestler and has a ridiculous amount of speed and power in a humongous frame. Is he a great striker or submission specialist? No. But neither was one of the best of all time: Randy Couture. Did he get some undeserved hype early on? Sure. But he obviously has a lot of talent. He did beat the holy hell out of Mir and even though it looked bad in the first round against Carwin he survived and ended up beating him too. Am I saying this guy is a HOFer? No, but he does deserve some credit considering how new he actually is to this sport.

I think it's mostly the way he carries himself. That nonsense he pulled on Mir was about as classless as you can get, right. Me? I hate him cause of that stupid cop, flat top haircut he sports. Some might think he's a 'roid junkie with his massive upper body and bone skinny legs. Another reason to hate him is he called his guys Chicken S*(# which just ain't right to do to those you're coaching. Mostly though, I think, its because most of what he has and what he is was, pardon the term from an atheist, God given. Akin to the rich kid who never had to work for his money, he was blessed with a massive, mesomorphic frame, and quickness not usual for someone his size. But he's been exposed a bit. We'll see if he comes back and has any future success, right?

He been a dominate "freak of nature" since High School.

As evident of in his 1st fight agianst Mir, he showed that unless you have technique and experience, size, speed and strength could be rendered useless and will only get you so far. He has steadily improved since then.

His hair cut? Really? I'm a huge fan of his but I will absolutely agree his rant after he beat Mir (for the second time. Eh hem) was pretty classless. I guess the only thing I can say in defense to that is he simply lost it. This guy is a very down to earth man and I think he just snapped. That is NOT who he really is. With that being said, I can understand why people dislike the guy so much but nobody can argue his strength/toe to toe ability. His only real weakness is submission moves. He recognized it with Mir the first time but just didn't react in time.
