10:45 AM ET 05.15 | Georgia coach Mark Richt was asked about the controversial issue of "oversigning" this week in Greenville, S.C. "I think that's an awful thing to do," Richt said. "It's nothing that we have ever done since we've been at Georgia.??? Richt conceded that's not the case with grayshirts, something he admitted Georgia has talked to recruits about doing in the past.

The "high road" in the SEC gets you a 7-5 season Mark. Better get with the program.

This is all just distractions from the fact that the Reverend Richt needs to start doing that coaching thing again for the first time in several years. The SEC East is wide open this year and if the Bull Puppies are not at bare minimum contending the SEC East title by the end of the 2011 season he's gone.

Yea that's not going to cut it. The SEC East is wide open this year and he needs to put the good book down and pick up the play book.

What is over-signing anyway? The definition seems to shift with every article.

College football teams lose juniors, sophomores and even freshmen for one reason or another. This "math" which pretends to know exactly how many kids a program can sign seems rather self-serving.

Richt's a desperate man grasping at ethical straws to explain the reasons his teams continuously underperformed the last three seasons. Hint - it's not what happens on signing day. It's everything that comes after -- or the lack thereof, in his specific case.

the sec would do it even if it WERE against the rules....how about paying the star QB's daddy, is that ok??? oh i guess as long as the brilliant star QB says he didn't know anything about it...sec leads the way, ohhh boyyyy
