07:54 AM ET 05.18 | Cavs win, Cavs win! Duke freshman point guard Kyrie Irving has long been viewed as the top overall pick in this year's draft, which isn't considered to be particularly deep or talented. ... Irving has been to Cleveland only once in his life -- for one of LeBron James' basketball camps, ironically -- but understands how the fan base was hurt by last summer. "Whoever Cleveland gets, that's definitely a unique situation," he said. "They need a new piece in there to round up the guys again." As for being that guy, Irving doesn't seem fazed as the new star to replace James. "I don't believe I'm following LeBron," Irving said. "If I am blessed enough to go to the Cleveland Cavaliers, I just want to start a new legacy there."

The NBA is rigged, but I'll take it.....lol. Stern just decides who and when he wants to give each team their individual piece of pie. The NBA is a joke, when it comes to leadership; but for whatever reason I watch.
BTW, congrats to your MAVS; I am very impressed by Dirk. He is finally showing me that he can be aggrissive, and play in the post. I will eat my crow like I man, and I apologize to you; for stating your MAVS would not make it out of the first round.

Of course, that is the key...
But 2 of the first 4 picks gets you on the way if you hit.

No prob...The funny thing is that Dirk has been doing this for about 3 or 4 years now...But the problem was he never had anyone step up or had any inside help and Haywood and Chandler are playing great down low....They still got a long ways to go to win anything...I hope they come out hungry like that tomorrow night.
I did find it funny though that the Cavs the FIRST year after they were scorn by LBJ got the first pick.....

So Irving and who is the #4 pick?

I want the kid from Arizona, Derrick Williams at #4. However, I'm sure he will be gone by then. I wouldn't mind Kyle Singler, considering what we need. Our front court needs to be rebuilt. Singler is a great shooter, with size and intelligence, that can spread the floor.

Yes, yes yes.. Bout time something good happens for the Cavs. Dont care what they said that this year's draft is not good. Got the 1st and 4th picks. Got to be some all star caliber rookies out there somewhere! Im not sold on Irving though yet.

Good for cav fans. This Irving kid is a real special talent and much different then most duke players. Within 3 years, he's a top 3 pg in the league easily. He's that damn good. Now, all the cavs need to do is hope Williams slips to four and hope they can get a good enough pick next year to snag Harrison barnes. If they get irving this year, barnes next (and a bonus number four this year) their young nucleus could be set. Best of luck cav fans and Congrats on winning the lottery

I think cavs need to get on the phones and see about trying to move the 4th pick up. and get williams and perhaps one of those euro centers.
