Twins draft need? Catching

08:12 AM ET 05.19 | Between Drew Butera, Rene Rivera, Steve Holm and the big guy, Joe Mauer, the Twins are far from sound behind the plate these days. If you're a catcher in the Twins' minor league system and you can hit, there's a major league job available. The Twins have a few catchers in the minors who are hitting for decent averages. Dan Rohlfing is batting .298 at Double A New Britain, but his backup, Allan de San Miguel, is batting .190. At Class A Fort Myers, regular catcher Dan Rams is hitting .302. At Class A Beloit, former Gophers catcher Kyle Knudson is hitting .324. Teammate Tobias Streich is hitting .244. ... The Twins don't pick until No. 30 overall in the June 6-8 major league entry draft. But it's a fair bet they will be looking at catchers.

Wilson Ramos...they traded him to the Nats at the deadline last summer for Matt Capps. Looking like a bad move right about now.

They had a great catching prospect in Wilson Ramos that they traded away for a closer (most overrated and over paid position). My suggestion to the Twins, trade someone to the Yankees for one of their catching prospects and move Mauer to DH or 1B.

I honestly don't know how Michele Bachmann is still in office. I'm from Minnesota and I just don't get it. She says crazy things, but they never seem to hurt her image.

The had two pretty good catchers...traded one for Capps when they didn't need Capps...and now they have no one who is MLB ready to be a backup catcher
