Braun exits with sore shoulder

08:23 AM ET 05.20 | Dinged a couple times this season, Ryan Braun didn't finish Thursday night's game. Braun tried to play through a sore left shoulder on Thursday and made it only five innings. He did not consider the setback a serious one. "I was trying to get through it," said Braun, who hurt his shoulder on a swing on Wednesday night. "It just got to the point where I didn't feel I could contribute. Once it gets to that point, it makes no sense to play." Braun singled and stole second base in the first inning, fouled out in the third and batted again with runners on first and second and two outs in the fifth. Padres pitcher Aaron Harang induced an inning-ending pop out, and that was it for Braun.
