Hasselbeck best fit for Vikings?

09:11 AM ET 05.22 | It's beginning to look as though Seattle Seahawks free agent Matt Hasselbeck might be the Vikings' best option to quarterback next season. But that still could depend on when the NFL lockout ends. If the lockout continues into July, it would seem there would not be enough time to prepare top draft pick rookie Christian Ponder or second-year QB Joe Webb to start. The Vikings would like Ponder to start.

He'll turn 36 in September. Haven't the Vikings learned to stay away from old QBs?

At first glance, they have Hasselback, Young, and McNabb to choose from in free agency. I suppose Hasselback has the fewest emotional/mental problems of the three.

I think Fran Tarkenton or Joe Kapp would be better options.

So what is there to prepare for? You hand the ball off 30 times to AP then run like he## and hope someone gets open to throw it to.

But... are the Vikings the best fit for Hasselback?

He may not have the luxury of choosing, Otis.

What other choices do they have????

Even a mediocre QB could have success in Minny. Look at the weapons the potential QB's disposal.

I thought the Seahawk's said they wanted to keep him?

I would look for Vince Young to end up waring the purple!

Tommy Kramer or Weskey Wade Wilson.

That's why Favre didn't think he needed OTAs and training camps.

He probably still has his old jersey.

Bears, Lions and Packer fans are hoping for this...

This is all smoke and mirrors, the vikes have to be drolling over a Vince Young who can both run and throw. All these other clowns being mentioned is just a discuise.
