08:16 AM ET 05.23 | As a possible lockout begins to crowd the offseason headlines, Minnesota's Kurt Rambis waits. Rambis didn't make the recent trip to Spain with Wolves boss David Kahn to scout the flop of the 2009 draft, point guard Ricky Rubio. And Rambis hasn't been involved in any of the scouting for the upcoming draft and has instead been doing analyst work for ESPN during the NBA playoffs. Draft decisions will seemingly be made by David Kahn, whose job is secure, according to Glen Taylor. "David hasn't talked to [Rambis] and hasn't said what they're going to do yet," Taylor said. "I'm still waiting there."

Rambis should just ask permission to interview for other jobs and move on. Kahn is the WORST GM out there so really no sane coach would want to work for him.

Stick a fork in him. Rambis is done. There's a reason he isn't a part of the decision making process. It doesn't matter anyway. Noone is going to be successful in Minnesota.

Rambis was HC in-waiting for the Lakers but couldn't wait... had to take the Wolves' gig. When someone seeks my advice as to whether they should take a job offer or not, I always ask if the new job is "doable." In other words is it possible to reach the goals set by management/ownership. Rambis taking the Minnesota job was at best ill-advised.

Rambis at best is a career assistant coach. He did not do well with his stint as coach of Lakers during the post Magic, Kareem, Worthy era; he did not do well with the Minnesota team the past couple of seasons and if he's let go by Minnesota, he won't become the Lakers next head coach.

They have some talent down there to make some noise. Beasly and Love are good players in this league so a good coach should be able to get them to play .500 ball. Even though that will not be enough to get them in the playoffs it shouldn't be too much to ask for. Maybe that's why Kurt aint coming back and that's also why the Lakers shouldn't even look at him.

Rambis will be made the scapegoat for sure. Khan has done a tremendously horrible job as a GM. Just horrible. Wolves should have axed Khan and grabbed West before he hooked up with the Warriors.

Can't understand for even one second why Kahn's job would be secure.
