McLellan calls out Heatley

08:30 AM ET 05.23 | Dany Heatley is making an awful lot of money disappear in the postseason. Heatley is the Sharks' $8 million man. And when San Jose acquired the high-scoring forward before last season, they had hoped he would be the missing ingredient for a Stanley Cup. Right now, Heatley is just plain missing. ... Heatley, who twice has been a 50-goal scorer, was limited to just 26 goals this season. But Sharks coach Todd McLellan repeatedly has praised Heatley for elevating other aspects of his game to compensate for his lack of goal production. There was no happy talk Sunday from McLellan. " Dany Heatley, like a lot of our players, we expect a little bit more from him," McLellan said. "I think he has to find a way to put himself in better position on the ice to score. We'll get that from him in Game 5."

Thornton and Marleau - the usual disappearing acts - have been showing up, just not many others on the Sharks, for the full 60 minutes.

You might want to try to limit the stupid penalties your guys are taking too. 3 consecutive 5 on 3 power plays? The one time they had 6 men on the ice with a man in the penalty box. Whose fault's that?
The Sharks definitely have a problem. They have to try to contain Kesler and the Sedin twins while trying to beat that brick wall Luongo. That is a daunting task for any team.

yep - bonehead mistakes... some on the players, some on the coaches, and some borderline calls (for both teams).

Heatley handles adversity the same way my dog handles being yelled at ~ both tuck their tails and run the other way. Look for Heatley to demand another trade!
