08:07 AM ET 05.24 | Bulls big man Taj Gibson was one among at least two Bulls who came to teammate Joakim Noah's defense Monday. Gibson said the abusive fan targeted Noah relentlessly. "I was able to hear it, but I can't basically say what they were saying," Gibson said. "It was really over the line. It was going on for the entire time Joakim walked back to our bench until he sat down, and they kept getting on him the whole time. ... He was intoxicated. When I saw him, I was just surprised, because he kept going and going. Normally a fan may say a couple things and sit down, but he just kept going at Joakim. And it was Joakim the entire time. Even when I was sitting on the bench with Joakim, even when the plays were off, he was still going."

Noah's comments in the wake of his fine were refreshingly adult. End of discussion.

You don't have to reply to every stupid fan that has something to say. Then again fans should not cause confusion either.

i've sat courtside before it can get pretty ugly.....as much as i love the seats close- they should probalby only reserve those seats for Jack N.....i could literally reach out and grab a player if i wanted to
they need more a buffer zone like football

Imagine every time you walk past someone they have something derogatory to say to you. How much would you be able to take as a man? He's lucky that's all he said. He could have easily ran down on that idiot and crushed him like a beetle.

I still dont see why he would worry what a fan was saying.....he should have stayed clear had his head in the game period...........

The thing that bother me with this entire alternative life style the most is that all of a sudden if you oppose your wrong. It seems as if your being force to accept it, and don't get me wrong, but not everyone is feeling this alternative life style. Just like people who aren't; people who are should behave and keep in mind that this will never be totally accepted and some serious walls are out there. I know there's a culture out there of respect and acceptance but at the same time there's a standard that has been going on for ever that will be hard to break or change and accept. There are somethings about us that will never change. I guess there will be times when you have to put on mute, ignore and suppress that hard core man we really are.

Hmmm....Does the Heat no employ security? How hard would that have been to point the guy out to them and have him escorted out?

I wonder if he called him a homosexual would that have been acceptable.

There are classless fans everywhere...

Just ask Wade and Bosh when they went back to Cleveland about some of the things that were said to them...and they were not the ones who left town to boot!

You're better than this, Bro.

PRECISELY!

I have season tickets that are 7 rows behind the vistors bench in Miami and some young guys were abusing a player a few months ago...the team asked security to come over and they were warned.

All Noah had to do was point him out...

Instead, he got caught up in the moment because it was his 2nd foul and he verbally lashed back...

Difference is, the fan laughed and moved on, Noah shelled out $50k.

Fan - 1
Noah - 0
