Amaro: Change will come if runs don't

08:14 AM ET 05.24 | Chase Utley went 0 for 5, a fact overshadowed by the 10 runs scored by the Phillies -- who will be facing change if the runs don't keep coming. Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro has made the transformation clear over the past few years when he turned an offensive juggernaut into a pitching juggernaut. Yet, the Phillies general manager expects his team to hit better than it has the past three weeks, and Utley's return gave the general manager the impetus to put the offense on notice. "If they don't produce, we're going to have to find a way to have them produce, whether it's internally or externally," Amaro said. "They're going to have to get better. I don't think we can survive getting two runs a game for the next 100 games."

Werth is the ultimate slump buster. Once he schtups your wife, your ticket for the HOF is punched.

QUOTE(#12):

Some fun baseball last night - Colon took a high colonic, the Botox starter duelled to a tie, the Reds got thumped by the offensively inept 10 run effort of Philly, and the Cards won. So overall - not bad - just one sticking point the Rays took it on the chin.Is it my imagination or are the ESPN announcers boo foo buddies with the Botox. Never heard such announcing by supposed objective national announcers over the last two nights.

John Danks is 0-7. Some fun baseball last night alright.

Listen to Hawk Harrelson, most biased SOB on the planet, a routine play by the Sox and it's a web gem, the other team makes a stellar play -- meh.

I have yet to see a national broadcast team, from ANY network, that couldn't be outdone by a group of rabid monkeys.
