Best offensive trio in the nation

08:20 AM ET 05.24 | If good things come in threes, great things come at Texas A&M with QB Ryan Tannehill, RB Cyrus Gray and WR Jeff Fuller. A&M was on this list last season -- but with a different quarterback. Jarrod Johnson ended up losing his job to Tannehill midway through last season, and A&M really took off after that. Gray shared carries with Christine Michael last season, and they will do so again this season. It wouldn't be a surprise to see those two combine for around 2,000 yards. Fuller is overshadowed in the Big 12 by Blackmon and Broyles, but he still is one of the top 10 receivers nationally. He is coming off a 72-catch, 1,066-yard, 12-TD performance in 2010.

I would agree. They are good.but their defense still su<ks balls.

...there could be several trios around the country that might be considered best. Let's see them perform first. The Tannehill kid does have good stuff between the ears and shoulders as well as his arms and legs.

I do agree the d su<ks.

I think Tyler Wislon, Nile Davis, and Greg Childs may have an arguement here. Ought to make for a good show in Jerry World when we play them in October.

Agreed ... and I'm not as impressed with aTm as Rivals. Gray and Michael are really good. Fuller is good too. Tannehill had a good year but he's still raw. Teams now have 1/2 year of tape on Tannehill and they'll be better prepared for him this year.

aTm has upgraded their starting lineup but they don't have much depth.

I was more impressed with their two freshman offensive tackles last year. O-line is one of the more difficult positions for freshman to play IMHO.

All the piggies have to do is outscore them and not stop themselves. I don't think the ags can stop anyone with a decent offense.

Yeah, they lost some great talent to the NFL and didn't perform all that well against a good defense last year in LSU anyway. Hard to see them being any better than a top 15-25 type team and easy to see them with a 7-5 record at the end of the year.

I actually made this comment expecting my Big 12 friends to light me up for being homer. Davis and Childs are the real deal.....Wislon is a very unproven QB.

The response I expected to get and still haven't seen is....doesn't OU have trio to be feared in the Big 2+10-2=12? Not sure anyone in this conferene can talk about being the best until they take that crown away from the Sooners.....as much as it pains me to say this!

aTm didn't have the depth to hang 60 minutes with LSU and Tannehill showed his inexperience and lack of polish in that game.

Good QB and WR but replacing DeMarco Murray is the key. He was a multi-dimensional back and they had lots of plays to exploit his talents. We'll see if Roy Finch or the freshman phenom can take up the slack.
