Ochocinco antics amuse and concern Brown

08:03 AM ET 05.25 | Mike Brown, now generally accustomed to saying he won't trade Carson Palmer, was asked a different question on Tuesday. Brown was asked during the NFL owners meetings on Tuesday what he thought of Chad Ochocinco's recent bull riding exploits. ... "He's always up to some stunt. They amuse me in a way. They concern me because let's face it we want a football player. We aren't hiring a bull rider, a dancer, a soccer player. We want a football player. It's simple. And that should be the focus, not on other things." Brown did say that "Chad has a genius for bringing notice to himself." But Brown did note quickly that he did not mean that in a disparaging way and that it was unique.

"We want a football player. It's simple..."
Mike Brown wouldn't know a football player if one slapped him.

Don't think Carson Palmer hasn't at least tried, or thought about it.

If you want a football player, quit locking 'em out.

Well you can want a football player all you want but when you are locking out the players I think they have a right to go and try out whatever keeps them occupied. That being said, I think what should be more amusing is Ocho's level of play, or non-play, on the field as the case may be. He's been as successful on the football field as he was on the back of a bull. Ocho, you Stinko.

This guy is a freaking clown with a severely eroded skill set, and I mean that in a VERY disparaging way.

The answer to our prayers. But, I guess none of the owners got Raptured up last Saturday, so we're still stuck with them.

Well, at least he plays for the team that wears clown suits on the field.

That's a nice way of saying Chad's an attention-****.

I guess we shall see how amused Brown is if Chad still has a job with the Bengals after all this CBA crap is settled.

Mike Brown is a complete idiot! I feel sorry for Cinci fans because they don't deserve what this guy is doing to their team. First he says he won't trade Palmer, which is a huge mistake and now he is commenting about a guy who is past his prime and is a complete distraction to the organization.
When you have a player who doesn't want to play for your team and says he would rather retire then you put the word out their that he's trade bait and get the most you can for him. With Ocho, I mean Chad, I mean, Whatever he calls himself? Just let him go and become someone else's concern. He won't put up the numbers he used to and cutting ties with him gives you flexibility with a rebuild. Besides now that they have Green the WR corp looks pretty good even without Chad.

Mike, should focus on building a winning team. However since they are on strike, Chad can do what ever he wants. Stop trying to control the player, when they are locked out.
