08:03 AM ET 05.25 | When Panthers players gather for informal workouts next week in Charlotte, the team's No. 1 draft pick plans to attend. Cam Newton, the Auburn quarterback taken first overall in last month's draft, will be among those participating in the workouts at Charlotte Christian, one of his agents said Tuesday. Newton has been training at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., with former Panthers quarterback Chris Weinke and Ken Dorsey, another ex-NFL quarterback who played under Panthers offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski at the University of Miami. Tony Paige, one of Newton's two representatives, said the 2010 Heisman Trophy winner is looking forward to getting on the field with his Carolina teammates for the first time.

He doesn't have the time to squeeze in any more QBs. He wants to be an *entertainer*, so outside of Weinke and Dorsey, he's also being tutored by Justin Bieber, Jeff Dunham, Sinbad and Ronald McDonald.
