08:07 AM ET 05.25 | Grizzlies assistant coach Damon Stoudamire will reportedly interview Thursday for one of the University of Memphis' two open assistant coaching positions. Stoudamire, a former NBA Rookie of the Year, has been an assistant with the Grizzlies since February 2009, when he was hired by head coach Lionel Hollins to work in the area of skill development. Before joining the Grizzlies, Stoudamire worked as director of player development at Rice under coach Ben Braun. "His track record speaks for itself," Josh Pastner said of Stoudamire, a fellow Arizona graduate who starred on the Wildcats' 1994 Final Four team. ... Pastner said Stoudamire has been a candidate for an assistant position since former Tigers assistant Willis Wilson left the program in March to become head coach at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Pastner lost another assistant last week when Glynn Cyprien accepted an offer to join the staff of longtime friend Billy Kennedy at Texas A&M.

With a potential lockout looming, he won't be the only NBA assistant who will seek a college gig next year. there are a few NFL assistants right who are wishing they did like Charlie Weis.

Apparently they aren't giving this guy an IQ test or a UA. This is the guy that went through an airport screener with his weed wrapped in aluminum foil. Left the front door of his house in Portland wide open and the cops had to check it out....found like 2 pounds of dope in the house. Same guy got busted with Sheed drivng back from Seattle in a hummer with huge blunts in the tray. Pretty much a dumb A$$
