08:14 AM ET 05.26 | Don't cry for Jo-Jo Reyes, who is running toward an ignominious record. Reyes tied a major league record, set in 1920, when he made his 28th consecutive start without a victory, getting battered by the Yankees in three innings for five runs -- including two-run homers by both Andruw Jones and Mark Teixeira in Toronto's 7-3 loss. ... "When I step on the rubber all I'm worried about is executing a pitch," said Reyes, 0-4 this season and 0-13 with a 6.59 ERA since that June 2008 victory while noting he has been able to stay positive about it with teammates. "We have fun with it but it doesn't get to me." Reyes can claim the unenviable mark in his next start against Cleveland. He vowed he is "not going to change anything."

Bad headline, it doesn't say he lost 28 in a row, just that he's gone that long without a win.

Also, it doesn't necessarily mean that the Jays lost all 28 of those games either.

Combine an article from the NY Post and the writing acumen of the FN interns and this is what you get.
