08:19 AM ET 05.26 | Former Florida running back Mike Blakely has reportedly enrolled at Auburn. The freshman left Florida on May 10, and AuburnSports.com reports that the former Bradenton Manatee standout has already enrolled and will play for the defending national champions. A Rivals.com's top-100 prospect in the class of 2011, Blakely was ranked No. 24 in the Sentinel's Florida Top 100. He enrolled at Florida in January but did not play this spring after undergoing shoulder surgery. Recruited to play in Urban Meyer's spread offense, Blakely's departure seemed to be because of the change under new coach Will Muschamp to a pro-style offense.

Seems to have walked into a worse situation for an aspiring running back. He would have had to contend with Demps for a year at UF and now he has to contend with Dyer for at least 2 at Auburn. Have fun riding the pine.

Won't play in a pro-style offense? Kind of limits his chance with the NFL...or are they going to the spread once the lock-out ends????

Someone educate the old man. I thought one of the problems with the spread was that it was a harder formation to run out of. Why would a RB favor it over the pro set?

I think it has more to do with the coach than the style.

I don't think that will limit a RB as much as a QB or even the Olineman.

True...but to have a history of leaving a college because they went to pro-style? Just seems a bit weird to me....

They run more out of their spread than most spread teams do.

He should have to sit out a year. auburn is going to try and get that waived. I don't see why they should bend the rules for him moreso than any other who has done the same thing.

The kid was not on campus long enough to steal a laptop.
