Bettman: Thrashers-to-Winnipeg not done deal

07:43 AM ET 05.28 | While various media outlets are reporting there is a deal in place to relocate the Atlanta Thrashers to Winnipeg, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman wants fans to know one thing: Nothing is set in stone yet. On his weekly radio show Thursday night, Bettman addressed the increasing speculation about the franchise's relocation. "Maybe at some point there will be a deal, maybe there will never be a deal," Bettman said during the "NHL Hour With Commissioner Gary Bettman." on NHL Radio. "But there isn't one now."

Good game last night. Not one penalty called in the whole game. I loved it! There were a few holds a couple hooks and some minor interference calls possible, but it was great that the reffs just let them play hockey.

Gary, I've got news for ya...Winnipeg already has the Thrashers and they're much more successful than the Atlanta franchise. In fact, just this year they won a national championship...And even though it's midget hockey, they probably had better crowds at their games than Atlanta could ever imagine.

The buttgoblin couldn't find Winnipeg on a map of Canada that lists the cities with a name that starts with 'WIN'. He just knows it lies north of the Mason-Dixon line and to him, hockey can't thrive there. If he has to move the Thrashers, he'll look at places like El Paso or Albuquerque.

The most hated little dwarf in sports. That little garden gnome would rather have hockey on the sun than in the country that invented it. No offense to my US friends, I'm merely venting on the absolute worst commissioner in all of sports. Frodo and the rest of the hobbits (NHL owners) can pound it. I live in hope that one day Gretzky will finally take over and rescue hockey. Go 99! Man I feel better!!!!!!!!
