08:22 AM ET 06.02 | Tim Thomas, despite the loss, made quite an impression on Game 1 -- and not necessarily in a positive way for Alain Vigneault. It was a splendid game, but you wonder if Thomas can keep it up given how many times he was scrambling around after the initial save. That is Thomas's unorthodox style, but the Canucks have many skill players who move the puck quickly, and the B's goalie could be even more susceptible to second and third chances. Vigneault noted how often Thomas plays outside of his crease, and claimed the Bruins goaltender was initiating contact in order to draw penalties. The Canucks boss said he would seek "clarification" from the league on this issue.

Dude, I don't know if you remembered, but you won. I'd love to hear his reaction to Torres punching Kelly in the face and getting away with it. Or one of the Sedin's flopping around like PK Subban. Either way, none of those plays had any impact on the outcome. Great game. Hope there's more like it.

They got the game winning goal on a play that was offsides and they are complaining about getting called when Burrows slew footed Thomas. Wow that's the definition of chutzpa.

Wow, what game were you dolts watching? The biggest dive of the night was Thomas going down like he'd been shot when Burroughs tapped him. Notice the ref who was 10 feet away didn't call it, but the ref 60 feet away fell for Thomas' dive.
The game winning goal was not offsides, but nice biased comment anyway.

If Thomas keeps up his diving, he'll replace Chara as the biggest flopper of the 2011 post season and that's saying alot considering how Thomas flops around like a fish out of water.

I'm in shock. His team leads the league in dives all season and he wants to complain about a team's goalie drawing penalties? Didn't Luongo almost give himself whiplash last round when a stick barely hit him?
The reasons to hate this team just keep piling up. The wankers on Sportsnet keep trying to call them Canada's Team. They aren't. I want no affiliation with this club at all. The Flames and Oilers made their runs with class. This team is garbage.

Oh. And the game was ok, not awesome. It WOULD have been awesome had the refs not decided that they wanted to dominate the 3 stars at the end of the game. Sickening how many penalties they called. Its called battling for the puck, for crissakes.

No the biggest dive was when Ferrence pushed one of the sisters after teh whistle and the sister dropped like he had been shot. It was embarrassing to watch, but at this point, I expect nothing less from the Nucks.

Every team is diving now that they're calling all these phantom penalties from 60 feet or more down the ice. It's a joke. Thomas flopped like a fish when Burrows bumped him and the ref 10 feet away should have called him for it.
This team is far from garbage. Like them or not, this is one of the most talented teams to come along since the Red Wings a few years ago, but still far behind the most talented and best team of all time; the 76-77 Canadiens who only lost eight games all season. That is an NHL record that will NEVER be broken.
