08:15 AM ET 06.03 | The news Thursday was not good for Rangers pitcher Brandon Webb. [Webb] has had another setback in his attempt to come back from shoulder surgery. Webb, who began a medical rehabilitation assignment with Double-A Frisco last Monday, felt some discomfort in his right shoulder during a bullpen session on Wednesday and is being shut down again. Dr. Keith Meister, who performed surgery on Webb in 2009, examined him Wednesday and said the right-handed pitcher had more inflammation in his shoulder. Meister has prescribed anti-inflammatory medication, and Webb will be shut down for a minimum of seven days. He has been officially recalled from his rehab assignment.

QUOTE(#1):

He gone.

He's been gone close to 3 yrs now. He put up some nice numbers while pitching for the D backs.

He was a good gamble for Texas to take. He still may work out if they're lucky.

A real shame. One of the best pitchers at the time. If Peavy can come back from tearing whatever muscle from bone & Colon can still pitch, why cant Webb come back? Blows my mind.
