Wolves holding No. 2, won't rule out moving it

08:07 AM ET 06.06 | Though some believe Arizona forward Derrick Williams would only add to a glut of Timberwolves forwards, the front office doesn't seem compelled to move its pick. Minnesota has the Nos. 2 and 20 picks on June 23, and given that the No. 2 pick is the highest the team has ever held, there is more interest than ever in how the Timberwolves go about finding the best prospects. ... Assistant GM Tony Ronzone was asked whether the team would trade down: "As of right now, we are quite pleased with our position. We believe there is a very good player waiting for us at the two spot and are not looking to trade. That's not to say we won't listen to offers, but as of now we are going to stay put."

What would you trade it for? Worst case scenario is the Cavs take Williams at 1.01 and you are left picking between Irving and Enes .
I think Kahn believes he can win right now and will probably stupidly trade for someone who is over priced which will ultimately lead to his demise in Minny

hope they trade it to the Cavs. And I hope the Cavs pick up Williams and Walker

If the Wolves get derrick Williams, they will have to figure out what to do with Michael Beaslry. what the Wolves really need is someone that can actually shot a basket and make it from the perimeter.

We'll give you back KG and throw in Ray Allen.. But we want the number two pick and next years number 1.
You are after all the Boston farm system right?

I can't speak for the T-Wolves, but I'm ready to move a #2 now.

If Kahn believes he can win right now, he's downright delusional.

Sorry, Minny next year First round draft pick goes to the LA Clips and with Minny luck it will be the #1 pick ....

the Boston farm system, aka McHale moved to Houston ...

I don't know why they just don't pull the plug on Rambis... there is no way Rubio is going to run a triangle offense.

June 6, 2011  11:08 AM ET

Tough year to have a high draft pick. Irving is waaay over rated, there is no sure thing in the top ten players. The T-wolves should look to move down in the draft and find some sucker to take Rubio off their hands.

Talk to the Rockets and see if they would take the #2 and Jonny Flynn for Kevin Martin. The Wolves need a shooting guard. Beasley and Love are to good to trade. Maybe check the Warriors and see if they will part with Monta Ellis? Add a veteran PG like Steve Nash to lead the team and the Wolves will win some games. They were in alot of games until they didn't play defense in the 4th Quarter.
