08:25 AM ET 06.06 | The situation at West Virginia grows stranger still with Dana Holgorsen and Bill Stewart. Because of the likely uncomfortable nature of Stewart's role as Dead Man Walking, we wondered how the two coaches would get along? If the latest rumblings have any truth to them, the answer to that question is "not very well." ... Now, there are rumblings that much of the information contained in a recent unflattering story about Holgorsen was leaked by Karen Stewart, Bill's wife. Crazy, right? True? Well, no one knows for sure. But the same post mentioned that there have been rumors of defensive coordinator Jeff Casteel wanting out of Morgantown, and some have speculated that Stewart may not even make it to fall camp as head coach.

What coach in waiting situation has worked itself out?

no doubt. They should cut him a fat check and send him on his way with some dignity.

That would be the classy thing to do. But, it appears the only class they have is 3rd!

Are they really in disbelief that a coach's wife would do these kinds of things? I've seen coach's wives do nummerous crazy and stupid things.

The best one though was Rodriguez's wife deciding she didn't want to go to Alabama. And to think, it was all because someone made fun of her retro hairstyle...

Ironically Bobby Bowden was once the Head Coach at WVU

Kentucky is the only one I can think of where the HC retired when he wanted to and no crap really happened over it.

even though it didn't work out so well for Bobby, the HC in waiting worked well for Jimbo and the school it seems. At least it has on the recruiting trail so far.

FSU has a field named after a guy who is unlikely ever going to step on that field again. Bobby took a Women's College and turned them into a national powerhouse.
