Harper makes a few more enemies

Harper seems like a weird dude.

No ... someone just needs to bean his butt a couple of times with a 90+ MPH fastball.

OK, not very classy but if you watch the video it is barely perceptible. Besides, who knows that the pitcher may have done or said.

Harper is the poster child for this generation of spoiled rotten, one sport-focused kids who's parents sole goal is to obsess with one sport in hopes to get a college scholarship or make the pros. Can't blame this on his age.....by age 18 a kid knows how to properly act and to conduct himself. This kid clearly doesn't get it.

Didn't Ty Cobb do the same sort of stuff? What's the big deal?

I've read that, because of the hype surrounding him, every pitcher that Harper faces treats it as if it's the last at bat of the World Series and they're all gunning for him. Granted, blowing a kiss to a pitcher is almost Liberace on the gay scale, but he's young and dumb, and as this quote says, who knows what went on between these two.

Really? I was a senior in high school at 18, and in a lot of respects, I had no **** idea how to conduct myself.

True. It seems the media wants to paint this kid as a giant ****, but who knows at that age.

I do too, but given how highly touted this kid has been since such an early age, I really can't blame him for being a douchenozzle. We'll see how he is in a few years as he grows up.

If I were the Nats, I'd be looking for a current or former superstar who "plays/ed the game the right way" on their payroll as a mentor to this kid. Someone who he'd respect enough to listen to.
