How the NBA Finals help Al Golden

08:21 AM ET 06.07 | Credit Al Golden for his marketing savvy. "LeBron had a chance to go anywhere in the country and he chose Miami," Golden said ... "If you watch the [NBA Finals] games like all young people and all recruits do, it's incredible the way they cut in and out of commercials. The shots of South Beach, the shots of the ocean, the shots of the city and all of those attractions. It's great [exposure] for us." Could it be that LeBron's decision may not only help the Heat win a championship, it could help the Hurricanes, too? Golden is absolutely right. Many recruits -- whether in basketball or football -- are watching the NBA Finals.

So, is Al going to pay his recruits LeBron $$$$ to get them to Miami like the Heat did?

Morning all. Next time don't hold back so much and tell us how you really feel.

One of the greatest athletes ever produced by great state of Ohio and totally shoved it up our collectives ****. I got no issue with him "taking his talents to South Beach". It was the way he did it that will forever remain with me.

In a world where ESPNsux televises "press conferences"from highschool gyms when players pick up a hat, strip off a shirt, or pick up a puppy (ok, I liked that one), I don't think we have a chance.

We all talk a/b the entitled premadonnas that are atheletes, but we feed their egos and build them by showing, watching, and caring about all this BS. LBJ had every right to go....he was a free agent. The show was total BS, but no worse than most of the top HS players are getting away with.
