08:02 AM ET 06.08 | To hear Jim Haslett tell it, the only real issue he has with Albert Haynesworth is that he just doesn't want to do anything. "He just didn't want to play in this scheme. He didn't want to play in the 3-4," Haslett said in a radio appearance. "He didn't want to do the things we wanted. Then we said, 'OK, if you're not going to do it, let's not do it. Let's play nickel, play the 3-technique.' Then, it got to the point where he said, 'I don't want to play first- and second-down nickel. I just want to play third-down nickel.' Oh my God, you're relegating yourself to 10-15 snaps a game. Then after that he didn't want to do the blitzes, he just wanted to rush."

No one is suprised

Something tells me this was established before he signed there.

The best move the Titans made in the last few years was letting this blob go.

The only guy in the league who would be better off after a severe concussion.

June 8, 2011  08:35 AM ET

Well, what do you expect for a lousy $100 million bucks?

June 8, 2011  08:40 AM ET

POS...

Ain't that the truth!

All true no doubt, but now Jim, tell us how you and Mikey turned the rest of that defense from a pretty good one into such a mess.
And all in one short year.

Absolutely.

I think the Skins would rather focus on what a bum Haynesworth is than address that issue.

Hayesworth was holding out for a McDonald's to call his own.

Fat Albert to play on the Bills. sorry Bills fans!

June 8, 2011  09:38 AM ET

Pay these guys per game. no contracts. $100,000 a game. maybe some performance incentives. They could make more in one 16 game season more than most Americans make in 16 years. If you get hurt, too bad. Get the next guy in line who can play. 1.6 million for 4-5 months of work is not a bad salary for a bunch of meat heads that are ridiculously unintelligent. "oh, but they work out and train all year" - well so do most of us, at 5:00 in the morning before we head to work!

I am SO sick of hearing what a risky "career" football is - it is a freaking game. play it for money for a couple of years after college and if you banked enough ca$h, coast through the rest of your life. If not, use that free college education and get your **** to work out here in the real word with the rest of us.

Crybaby players. You guys should stop buying $250,000 wristwatches and $20,000,000 houses and live life a little closer to reality.

The only value one could get out of Fat Albert would be to render his blubber into oil

That the way they did it back in the day! Norm Snead told me that!

Haynesworth doesn't belong in the NFL. Hopefully the Skins can get him for conduct detrimental. He's a dissapointment as a human being, let alone a Redskin.
