Whispers resurface for James after Game 4

08:09 AM ET 06.08 | Being LeBron James can't always be fun. At least after Game 3, when he was asked a ridiculous question about "shrinking" after a win, he had that win to stand on. At least he had a 17-point, nine-assist stat line that made sense next to Dwyane Wade's 29 points and 11 rebounds. At least then he had a 2-1 series lead to defend him and a nation of analysts and experts coming to his defense as well. After Tuesday's Game 4, there will be nothing but questions, concerns, criticisms and, from Heat fans, probably anger. ... This game doesn't define LeBron James in these playoffs. It doesn't even become the story of his NBA finals if it remains a one-game anomaly. But it does stand as the most shocking result for James in this series. In these playoffs. In his playoff history.

Amber Alert....26 year old 6 foot 8 african american, last seen overcelebrating a dwayne wade shoot, was not present at all during gane 4. please contact pat riley, gloria james, or big daddy delonte west if you see him

Maybe just maybe they are forcing the ball out of his hands when they double him out at the three point line.....

But I really like the Kidd on LBJ defense and Marion on Wade with Stevenson giving either of them rest...I think that makes them work harder....

I'm giving credit to Mavs defense, not that LeBron is shrinking. I am not a hater, and the Mavs are absolutley tenacious. They refuse to be blown out, and they are playing just as well as the Heat in making necessary adjustments.

Writers???Please give the Mavs more credit instead of making this a LeBron "thing" ALL the time.

People will hate on Lebron no matter what- if he switched games with Dwayne Wade the talk wouldn't be that he carried the Heat with 32 while Wade struggled with 8 poitns. the talk would be lebron choking on the inbound pass and missing a free throw. Just something Lebron has to deal with -not fair but amusing

Maybe they should throw a double team on dirk .....not doubling him has worked 1/3 times.

Hating LBNique is the only thing that's fun as far as the NBA is concerned ... it's not like the games are any fun. There are only 3 or 4 teams that are any good at all... corrupt refs... a greedy incompetent commissioner and a bunch of owners, managers and coaches with no clue as to how to put together a team or control these thugs and morons we consider "Stars".

This is what it's come down to for the fans... rooting for people to lose.

All I can say is at least last night, Spo called the time out during the Mavs patented timeout. Whatever was said fell on deaf ears, but that was the thing he should have done in the other games.

If the Heat would learn to keep pressure defense for 48 minutes, we probably wouldn't be having this discussion.

Absolute slugfest.

At least now the last 2 games have showed it's Wade's team!Bron is a follower! The best #2 option in the league.Chosen 1 huh?More like Choken 1!He makes me sick!Nobody can guard him?He surely ate his words last night!

They say pride goeth before failure. When Z-Bo said all Perkins can do is foul him, his Grizzles were eliminated. When Boozer failed to acknowledge Bosh his Bulls lost the series. With Lebron bragging about being unguardable he has brought bad luck to Miami and they will lose the series because of his yuck mouth. So much for thinking he's Jordan... man somebody get that loser out of of life. It's disgusting to watch him and his coy antics... F that sucker.

Interesting how JET did his patented arms out, and no one on TV mentioned the "over-celebration".

How much you want to bet that will be fuel for the Heat next game?

June 8, 2011  08:41 AM ET

Also can we give the Mavs DEFENSE a little credit.....

June 8, 2011  08:42 AM ET

i heard a whisper of being choked

There is no team that can keep it up for a full 48 minutes...You just got to hope your shots are falling when the other team tightens it up.....

Humanity has been blessed to witness some of the most dominating goto moves in the game of bball.

kareem had the sky hook
hakeem had the dream shake
MJ had the fade away

but 1 move outshines them all. a move reserved for the bball gods. a move no mere mortal should gaze upon.
a move the King rightfully calls....

The Crab Dribble

Game 5..........we will all be witnesses

Really should have been a Heat sweep- but it has made it an enjoyable series and as long as they don't bring in danny crawford for another game the mavs have a good shot
