08:13 AM ET 06.08 | David Ortiz is feeling good ... a little too good according to Joe Girardi. Girardi didn't like the Ortiz flipping his bat after he homered off Hector Noesi in the fifth inning last night. And Ortiz didn't seem to give a flip that Girardi didn't care for it. ... Girardi at least had the gumption to comment when asked about Ortiz's bat flip after his majestic two-run homer in the fifth after Noesi had thrown the previous pitch at Ortiz's legs but missed. "I didn't care for it," Girardi said. The manager went on to say, "I don't know if [Ortiz] was upset that [Noesi] came in hard on him." Ortiz said he wasn't upset. It just so happened that after he was brushed back, he picked himself up and homered. It looked like, "OK kid, you're going to come in on me? I'm going to take you deep."

I can't believe that the Yankees didn't at least knock down Big Blobbi after his 320 ft blast and waddling around the bases...

More freaking Yankee whining. Typical.

Ortiz apologized later, said he thought that Noesi was actually Tom Gordon.

Maybe Girardi ought to be more irked at that pathetic performance by Freddy Garcia.

Girardi needs to shut his trap and figure out why the Yankee's are haven't beat the Suxs of late.

It's comments like that that get players beaned. Shut up Joe and worry about trying to find a win.

This makes me laugh a little.

June 8, 2011  09:31 AM ET

Hey, Girardi, police your own team. You were the manager when A Rod pulled his Little League stunt of hollering at a guy catching a pop-up.

Shut up, you whiner.
