08:18 AM ET 06.09 | Sticking with a developing theme, David Perkins made his decision to attend Notre Dame quickly. Speed isn't going to be a problem at Notre Dame in the next couple of years, at least if the current recruiting class has anything to do with it. The Fighting Irish locked in another blazing fast recruit this week when hometown product David Perkins chose Notre Dame. Perkins is a 6-foot-2, 210-pound linebacker/receiver who has been timed at 4.43 seconds in the 40. He joins speedy recruits CB Ronald Darby, S Nick Baratti and WR Deontay Greenberry. The Fighting Irish are up to 10 commitments for the class of 2012. Perkins is from Washington High School in South Bend (Ind.). ... "When I have the ball in my hands, I think I'm one of the hardest men in America to bring down," Perkins told the South Bend Tribune.

No they're really really fast ... but those bland uniforms, plain gold helmets and high-top black shoes makes them LOOK slow.
