08:26 AM ET 06.10 | The close of the Bill Stewart era may be coming even earlier than expected. West Virginia is negotiating a buyout for [Stewart], a source close to the situation told Sporting News on Thursday. The only holdup in the negotiations is the buyout money. Coach-in-waiting Dana Holgorsen will take over as head coach. When asked Thursday if he was planning a buyout for Stewart, WVU athletic director Oliver Luck said, "I can???t comment" in a text to Sporting News. The move could be complete as soon as Friday morning. In the last week, Stewart and/or his wife, Karen, have been accused of a smear campaign against Holgorsen.

Really was (not). They just did not go far enough, get rid of them both and get Leach in there.

Morning, 0-6....I agree that they both need to go, but IMO Leach isn't going to get this or any big D-1 job anytime soon. I talked to an assistant AD at a school that interviewed him a few years back......said he was a TERRIBLE interview, quirky as hel!, and elusive....just don't see any AD givng this guy the keys to the program, regardless of the pending lawsuit.

I have never sat in on one but I would think this is an accurate description of how Leach would interview. That and he has absolutely no filter between his brain and mouth. He says exactly what comes into his mind. That tends to get one in trouble nowadays.

Morning WPS. Now where will be land? Is he a possible for tOSU, probably not.

IMO, non-BCS job. Leach=June Jones. He'll show up again at an SMU, Hawaii, Utah state level job.

I agree with WPS. It's a shame he won't get a chance at some jobs. He's proven he can compete with the biggies while at one of the "lower level" schools in the AQ conferences. Tech would be comparable to a Indiana (Big 10), Washington State (12 PAC), etc. Just my opinion though.

He'd be real scary at a non AQ school in a talent loaded area like USF, UCF, Houston, etc.

at least this takes some of the attention away from UTK and all their NCAA sanction nonsense...and their 10 million they're paying annually in buyout money.
