Leafs hardpressed to find center

09:28 AM ET 06.12 | Brian Burke's search for a first-line centre will not be accomplished without great difficulty. Of the top 10 scoring centres in the NHL, only Brad Richards is available come July and he's likely looking elsewhere. Of the rest of the Top 30 scoring centers, Jeff Carter is available, but rumors have him going to Columbus and there is the possibility that Jason Spezza or Vinny Lecavalier could be had, because of bad contracts, but after that, what?

Burkie can trade his two first-round picks and a second for center. He's done it for a RW before and he has the picks so why not? I can see Stevie Y trading Lecavalier for those three picks.

Finishing 10th in the East... They may be Hard Pressed for more than just a Center.

Well, the Wild could use the picks and O'Sullivan probably can't wait to leave that Texas hockey hotbed of Houston...

How about those Blue Jays....

Sorry, I've had no interest in MLB since the '94 strike. Can't say I miss it.

Puckhead's just trying to derail our conversation of an inept organization by bringing up another one.

No need to bring up the Leafs' management Puckhead, we know who they are.

And making very serious and thoughtful comments about our very silly ones. I guess rooting for the Leafs affects one's sense of humor in the long run.

Excuse me, if I could get a word in edgewise here. Can you see Vinny retiring before he would play in Toronto? I know I sure could.

LMFAOROTFF! They make the trade, Stevie Y makes his picks, Lecavalier shows up at the first day of camp, looks around at his new teammates, listens to Rotten Ronnie's first speech to the players then turns around, leaves the building and retires that very same day.

If that happens, BF, I think I'll die laughing.

Well, one can only hope. :)

I really don't understand Hank's problem with the Canuck fan support...They really seem to be flooding the Arena, the Streets and the Bars...In fact it has even dropped normal business in the city by 30%.
In other words, it looks like it is becoming like a regular season Leaf game. : )

Don't keep your hopes up, I don't mention you in my will. Besides, I'll consider I've lived a great life if I die knowing that the check to the funeral home will bounce.
