GMs ready to wheel pre-lockout

08:07 AM ET 06.13 | Perhaps the NBA's GMs are learning from the NFL's lockout. NBA executives are predicting increased trade activity centered around the draft as the looming lockout puts teams on the clock to face the unusual prospect of needing to do an offseason of work within a short time. ... The concern for teams in this case isn't the length of the lockout that in all likelihood will begin July 1. The issue is the amount of time they will have once the work stoppage, if it happens, is settled. Or won't have -- if the labor dispute carries deep into the regular season, general managers will have much less time than usual, perhaps just a couple weeks, between the time the lockout is settled and the start of the renovated schedule.

When will mankind ever get enough money?

Why not wait for the lockout t end, before you sign anyone??? These owners are all money-grubbing db's, so don't tell me they ain't thinking about having to pay singing bonuses for no work being performed. Special players only going to be doing business, everyone else gets in line for the lockout to end.

Well they had Kendrick Perkins. Oh wait after he went to the Thunder everyone saw what he really is. A nice big man that was over valued by the Celtic fans. The way they acted and treated Perkins, they thought he was the next Bill Russell.

i'm looking forward to another shake up and seeing where certain players will eventually land.

the greedy owners are going to get richer by cutting player salaries and benefits. The players deserve a lot more money for all the work they do.
