L.A. has more than five clubs in crosshairs

07:58 AM ET 06.14 | When the football machine starts turning its giant gears again in earnest, so, too, will buzz about the NFL returning to Los Angeles. Whenever the lockout ends -- be it in July or September or whenever else -- the two groups that have plans to build in the expansive L.A. area will move forward. ... So is it time to worry in Minnesota, San Diego, Oakland, Jacksonville and St. Louis? Yes and no. There's work to be done in those, the five cities that Tim Leiweke pulled out of his hat. But no one's moving until, at the very earliest, 2012 and the truth, from what I've heard, is that those teams were named because they were the obvious ones. In fact, the pool AEG is looking at is actually deeper than just the five clubs being mentioned.

When did Minnesota become a city?

another team in la? didn't they learn the last time? if these teams didn't learn the last time, what makes the higher ups that another team in la would work? what geniuses at work here.

I don't think Jacksonville could be any worse off in LA... In fact they probably would stand a better chance with the fair-weather fans in LA, than the complete disregard for them the fans have in Jacksonville.

When Regan said we were a part of Canada.

15 years from now, LA team to leave.

That just sounds weird... the Jaguars would fair better in LA.

The state of Minnesota may actually shut down if they don't get a budget deal done by the end of June.

And Ziggy wants them to buy him a new stadium? Dream on.

It's a sad freaking state of affairs when a team like the Vikings would be better off in Minnesota but will probably still end up moving to somewhere they will move from again in 10 years.

Time to get "He Who Cannot Be Named" out of the mothballs.

The Republicans well never let them have a new stadium. I think there all Bear fans.

At least the Bears play outside. And poop in the woods.

Me. Looks like he is flirting with the alter boy in that pick. How does an incompetent looser like Goodell keep that job.

Why stir up fan bases with these rumors? Take Oakland back, and call it a day, until it unfolds again LA.
