Favre: I can still throw

08:00 AM ET 06.15 | Brett Favre may not be exactly certain of his next step, but it doesn't include playing pro football -- even if he was somewhat evasive in his answer to the most pointed question. Favre stood on the sidelines at M.M. Roberts Stadium this morning looking every bit as fit and energetic as the NFL quarterback who carved out a Hall of Fame career. Could he still play? "I can still throw the ball as well as I ever have. No question about that," said Favre as he gazed out at the youngsters assembled for his inaugural 7-on-7 football camp on the Southern Mississippi campus. Does he want to play? "I don't want to put my body through that anymore," he said. "I've been beat up enough."

And Tony Dorsett can still run; heck I can throw. But can he pass the ball effectively to the receivers wearing the same color jersey that he would wear?

And as he is dead... that is a far more impressive accomplishment than ol' Brett.

Bears management have been in talks with Him, and are close to a deal!

June 15, 2011  08:34 AM ET

I actually think we just saw the genesis of his next "return to football".

He's dead? I didn't even know he was sick! Dude can still kick, though.

I see no reference to his death. Yeah, I found a reference to his passing, but that was during the famous Miami-Redskins Superbowl.

Look at the Wikipedia article about him. It could be a comedy, like Borat. Lines like this:

"On the island of Cyprus, his poor family did not have indoor plumbing and kept warm in winter by burning olive pits."

Really.

Not quite as good as the "Exit" picture of he-who-must-not-be-named, but this one is also a classic, seein's how the other guy is Randy Moss.

Will this diehard ever quit? I hear he got a better cell service for emailing photos of his junk.
