Heat plan on chasing Dalembert

08:07 AM ET 06.15 | The Heat are already interested in offseason upgrades. One of the Heat's top offseason priorities will be adding a veteran center, and Miami has strong interest in Sacramento free agent Samuel Dalembert. But even if the midlevel exception remains part of the new labor deal (which is undetermined), the Heat knows other teams can offer Dalembert more and would not be surprised if he signs elsewhere. If the midlevel survives, and if it's close to this year's $5.8 million, that would give the Heat a better chance to find a decent center who could lessen the reliance on Joel Anthony. ... But if the midlevel shrinks to $2 million or so or is eliminated, that would limit Miami's options and make Dalembert highly unlikely here.

They should buy into a low second round pick and pick up some of these young centers who have fallen down the draft and groom him for what they need. A rebounder who can also block a shot and have semi-decent post moves when needed....

As much as that sounds intriguing the heat are in a position to win now...

Agreed... they aren't looking to groom someone for 5 years down the road.

"Heat plan on chasing Dalembert"

And Dalembert plans on running like hell for his basketball life from that career killer LBNique!

QUOTE(#6):

F the Heat. They lost, and its the mission of the league to see that happens again and again and again.

And LBNique will be sure to do his utmost best to see that that is exactly what happens...

Wade made a big mistake and an even bigger enemy by yelling at LBNique in public and then outplaying him.

Who the hell does Wade think owns that team?? It is LBNique's team to destroy.. and he's doing a fine job so far

QUOTE(#2):

If the CBA talks shiz about a cap at 50 mill each member of the big 3 simply take a 2 mill each pay cut to get Dalembert, then just sign backup point guard Earl Watson.I really would prefer Lebron and Joel Anthony for D Will and Lopez. But yea Dalembert would be the ideal missing post presence that the heat lacked all season.

As long as LBNique is on the team the Heat are going nowhere...

It don't matter who they get. Unless Lebron go finds his father and pays him everything he does is bound to fail.

Dee, I told you this yesterday players can not take a pay cut in the NBA....

QUOTE(#8):

Worrying about the heat yet you say F them?Get back to reality!

It don't matter if you add Dwight Howard to Miami. They will still lose cos of Lebron's curse. If anything they need to get him a head doctor. That will be good for starters.... and please keep Rashard Lewis out of his pit. How can you call yourself a man if your momma and baby's momma are getting hosed by your colleagues... No wonder he has six toes... He's a demon. Maybe he's the reall 6 6 6. Aint there some law that sends sucj people to asylum?

If the heat get dalembert, that would be a great fit for both he and the organization. Wise Move Miami, let's see if u can get him there.
