07:51 AM ET 06.16 | Not far removed from Jeffrey Lurie hinting at aggressive moves, a source is offering some specifics. With the Eagles coming off a surprisingly successful season which ended 27 yards short of a playoff triumph over the eventual Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers, Howie Roseman is ... in it to win it. Though the owner-imposed lockout prevents Roseman from commenting on specific players, another Eagles source familiar with the organization's thinking threw out names like Redskins defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth, ex-New York Giants wideout Plaxico Burress and even current New Orleans Saints halfback Reggie Bush as players Philly might explore as potential acquisitions. "This is the year," the source said earlier this week. "We think we have a great shot to win it, and we're loading up and going for it."

Fat Albert in Philly...

I would LOVE to see that.

Those names, I'd throw them out, too. Out the door.

Yeah, why load up with losers? Plax is likely over the hill and he's got a rep as a cancer, Bush is defiinitely over the hill, and Albert? Well, Albert IS the hill.

Loading up with losers indeed. How the heck can ANYONE think that Fat Albert will contribute other than to the buffet line?

Can you imagine the close relationship he would have with Philly fans?

I pray for this to happen...

He'd shoot one of them by week 6.

Watching Fat Albert and Fat Andy jostle for the last 6 rib-eyes would be a treat.

These guys are greedy. They just won the NFL Championship in 1960. We could be talking dynasty here.

That would be awesome.

Philly would want to take on Fat Al's contract?? Bad enough he sucks but to pay him to suck =insult to injury. He is cancerous.

June 16, 2011  09:02 AM ET

I don't think loading up with a bunch of knuckleheads = in it to win it.

June 16, 2011  09:22 AM ET

I can see them trying to get them with bargain deals, I dont think anyone of them are going to want to come to Philly for a discount, maybe Plax, but the other 2, dont see that happening
