Niners now set for Crabtree breakout

07:54 AM ET 06.16 | A new coaching staff in San Francisco can't wait to get started. The 49ers' new wide receivers coach expects big things from his pupils this season, starting with Michael Crabtree. John Morton, who steps in for long-time receivers coach Jerry Sullivan this season, said that Crabtree is "going to be a phenomenal football player in this offense. And so is Josh Morgan. I think the sky's the limit for those guys." Morton suggested that Jim Harbaugh's West Coast offense is a better fit for Crabtree's skill set than the power-based vertical passing attack that the 49ers have used in recent seasons. Crabtree does not have blazing speed and he is not particularly big. But he is sudden in and out of breaks and has quick hands.

Sounds like the Receivers are going to be dominant.
Of course, there is this little thing about the QB...

Otis... you hit the nail on the head... I loved Crabtree at Texas Tech... but his post-draft crap really made him out to be just another PUNK... I hope he is over his DIVA complex and makes us Texans proud!

Yeah, I was thinking the puzzle is missing a big piece.
But, sure is nice to be in a town with a champion, eh?

Ours is today - temps in the 90's. Don't care - I'm bringing water and appropriate head wear.

I can't imagine that Smith is still being looked at as the answer to the QB conundrum.

Tomorrow for the Bruins. It's going to rain. Wish they'd do these things on Saturday so more people could go.
The celebrations in Boston, at least, were peaceful last night.

Lets not forget the offensive line. Anthony Davis like so many tackles had a difficult time blocking on passing downs, I lost count of the number of holding calls against him. Curious that he didn't mention Vernon Davis the TE, Harbaugh will often use a set with 2 TE's.

Might well be the best coaching job in these parts in 20 years. Maybe ever - with all due respect to Jimmah...

It's awesome to read that Cuban is picking up the tab for the parade. It will be interesting to see what he puts together.
