07:58 AM ET 06.16 | The Pistons, with a new owner in and a coach out, are about to turn their attention to a new coach. Milwaukee Bucks assistant coach Kelvin Sampson will interview for the Detroit Pistons' vacant head coaching job this week, the Free Press has learned. Sampson will meet with Pistons president of basketball operations Joe Dumars to discuss becoming the team's seventh coach in 12 seasons. The other known candidates for the job are former Atlanta Hawks coach and Pistons assistant Mike Woodson, Boston Celtics assistant Lawrence Frank, Dallas Mavericks assistant Dwane Casey and former Pistons Bad Boy Bill Laimbeer. Casey and Frank are reported to be the two finalists for the Toronto Raptors' job.

The constant is Dumars, it's amazing he's still in charge. Are the new owners so naive to keep him in control. I see that integrity and character don't matter with the possible hiring of Sampson.

lol...not mentioned, but you KNOW isiah is on the radar:) welcome to my world

Isiah's chances of coaching in Detroit are next to zero, Dumars is doing him a favor by giving him a courtesy call. Zeke could sure use the positive publicity.

Not sure why there isn't more draft talk. Would love for Knight or Leonard to fall to #8.

If Mike Woodson is the best available, then we got serious talent issues with NBA head Coaches.
