Pryor may be a star (but not in Pittsburgh)

08:04 AM ET 06.17 | Though perhaps not as a quarterback, Terrelle Pryor, in the eyes of many, is a prospect worth developing. A few players came out of the NFL supplemental draft since it began in 1977 and went on to have strong pro careers. Quarterback Bernie Kosar. Wide receiver Cris Carter. Nose tackle Jamal Williams. Pryor will be the next. The NFL team that takes Pryor is going to get a star. It won't be the Steelers. They won't reach out to Pryor for the same reason they won't touch Plaxico Burress. They don't need a player who is considered a character risk, not after their problems with Ben Roethlisberger and Santonio Holmes. That's just as well for Pryor. He needs a fresh start in the NFL, as far away from his hometown of Jeannette as possible and as far away from Columbus, Ohio, as possible, for that matter.

The Steelers don't need or want another QB with off-field issues. Big Ben is still around because Super Bowl-winning QBs don't grow on trees, but no doubt Ben knows he's on a short leash. The Steelers will NEVER take Pryor.

Article is total bull ****, Steelers won't take him because he doesn't fill a present need. His off field issues are signing autographs for tattoos and selling stuff he won. This kid is one of the most gifted athletes in any sport, someone is going to get the deal of the century with him in the supplemental draft.

Pryor is staying in Ohio ..... guessing the Bengals ... maybe the Vikes ...
Question is what is Pryor worth .... 2nd round pick for Next year draft .....
Remember Teams need to place bids in the NFL supplemental draft, ... so say if the Green Bay Packers place a 2nd round pick for Pryor and the PACK is the low bidder, they get Pryor for the 2nd pick in next year 2012 Draft.

Draft order is determined by a weighted system that is divided into three groupings. First come the teams that had six or fewer wins last season, followed by non-playoff teams that had more than six wins, followed by the 12 playoff teams.
In the supplemental draft, a team is not required to use any picks. Instead, if a team wants a player in the supplemental draft, they submit a "bid" to the Commissioner with the round they would pick that player. If no other team places a bid on that player at an earlier spot, the team is awarded the player and has to give up an equivalent pick in the following year's draft.
*For example, FS Paul Oliver was taken by the Chargers in the fourth round of the Supplemental Draft in 2007; thus, in the 2008 NFL Draft, the Chargers forfeited a fourth-round pick.
