08:18 AM ET 06.17 | North Carolina's recent disclosure does not paint a flattering picture of its football team. A review of records indicates that players owe hundreds in unpaid parking tickets, some dating to 2009. One account owes $740. Another owes $700, according to UNC parking records. The players have not immediately been identified. ... News & Observer reporters are studying the records, which were requested for 11 players in August, 2010, as questions first surfaced about problems within the football program. At least two other players were subsequently added to the requests. So far, the records and other documents obtained by the N&O show: ... There were at least 42 citations issued to vehicles tied to Marvin Austin, the former defensive star whose actions first drew attention from the NCAA last year, resulting in the ongoing probes.

As the COI debates Tennessee's impending penalties, I'm hoping that dirt like this will make the transgressions by the Vols look slightly less serious.
"Hostess-gate" and the surreptitious BBQ dinner look pretty tame, by comparison.
