08:23 AM ET 06.17 | Jim Calhoun is in no rush. Calhoun is still operating without a timetable, still making the rounds as part of his offseason responsibilities, still saying little more than this: When he decides whether he'll return for a 26th season at UConn, and 40th overall, he'll let everyone know. Calhoun is just doing all he can to ensure the program remains in a good place and that whoever the coach is a few months from now will be in a desirable position. He met with new UConn president Susas Herbst Thursday, "and I told her the same type of thing, that I'll know and we'll move forward."

Don't let this thread die a slow horrible death. Somebody give it at least one showing of eye candy. It is a CBB thread, afterall.

Never liked Jimbo. He deserves credit for building UCONN from nothing into a brand. But I think he's dirty and a grouch about it. "Not one penny back!" ****.

NEVER!!! Calhoun is the best thing to happen to Connecticut. A boring state filled with miserable people. Jimmy's the only reason I tolerated living there. UCONN hoops will fall apart-return to the dismal days of the 70's when they played in a barn house, if he leaves. The football, baseball, and women's basketball programs got their success by piggy backing off the men's program. You think it's easy to recruit young smart urban kids to live on a farm? But Calhoun does it perennially. He's amazing.
