05:55 AM ET 06.19 | An executive with an opposing team who is in contact with the Marlins said White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen remains Jeffrey Loria's No. 1 choice, but that's realistic only if Chicago dismisses him or doesn't pick up his 2012 option. But the official was told Loria also has considered making another run at ESPN's Bobby Valentine, though his front office opposes that.

Bobby V!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mr. Loria. Please sign Bobby so we don't have to deal with him on Baseball Tonight anymore.

Bobby V. deserves another chance in the bigs. I am not sure that this is a good fit, but the Marlins (and Han Ram in particular) need a kick in the seat, so perhaps...

As for Ozzie, his time is about worn out on the South Side.

Bobby V doesn't want another chance in the bigs. He just likes the idea of teams chasing him.

Booby V is not a kick in the pants kind of manager. More of a "players manager"

Best trade Kenny Williams could make this year would be to ship Ozzie to Florida for some low lvl prospects, a bag of balls or whatever he can get. Ozzie has a team built on power in a stadium friendly to sluggers and insists on playing small ball . He has either no clue or will not adapt, in either case he's costing the team wins. Dayan Viciedo, a switch hitter with power is ready to play at the major league level, Kenny Williams the GM wants to promote him and yet Ozzie insists on playing Juan Pierre, who's only value is the stolen base (and has done poorly at that this season) in left field.

Viciedo is not a switch hitter and Ozzie is not the problem. Although I would like to see less of Pierre, they don't necessarily want to DFA him and eat the rest of the contract. Even if you replace Pierre, there is still the problem of Dunn, Rios, Beckham, and morel not hitting. should we replace them all?

The White Sox picked up Ozzie's 2012 option a long time ago. The only way that Ozzie winds up with the Marlins is if the Marlins are willing to take stiffs Edwin Jackson and Juan Pierre as part of the deal!

Viciedo is not a switch hitter.

I would love to see the Marlins sign Bobby Valentine to something like a ten year contract, because I can't stand the guy and it would be doing all baseball fans a great favor to get him off of ESPN!!!

He and Mc Carver are so full of themselves it makes me wanna puke!

I have no knowledge of Viciedo's personal life (i.e., whether or not he's a "switch hitter"!), but I do know that as soon as you call him up from AAA his MLB service time clock starts ticking and right now there's no place for him to play.

I agree that Ozzie's love affair of Pierre is KILLING the team. Juan this year has been about as useful as a set of teats on a bull. Batting Ramirez, who has ADHD and virtually never takes a pitch, second is also killing the team too. Put Beckham in the #2 spot in the lineup and leave him there and the team will start scoring more runs.

Why would Bobby V want to be part of idiot Loria's revolving door managing position? He is the worst owner in MLB to manage for. No security at all, and he'd never have the money to buy a decent team. Not happening. Most likely Loria will have to go to Home Depot and pickup some guy to manage the team
