08:08 AM ET 06.20 | Dwight Howard's barnstorming tour of Europe continued over the weekend, as did his proclivity toward candor. At an Adidas event in Madrid, Spain, Howard criticized Stan Van Gundy's handling of Gilbert Arenas and said he should have a role in the team's personnel decisions. ... "I don't think our coach used him the right way, but I think he can do a lot of great things for our team. He promised me this summer he was going to get himself better, physically and mentally, so he can come back and have an awesome year. ... I just felt like he didn't get the opportunity to play his style but also play with me. I think he needed to. I think he got a couple of opportunities to do it in the playoffs, but it was kind of too late. So I think he will be great for us."

So Arenas tells Howard that he is going to be better physically and mentally this upcoming season and Howard blames Van Gundy for not playing a guy when he clearly had issues? You can blame Stan for a lot of things but not that.

Well if Gilbert told him that then it must be true. /end sarcasm. Howard is wrong here to call out his coach, who has done so much for him, in favor of a player who has contributed nothing to his teams success.

I mean is it any more clear that dwight hates stan? Not sure how otis doesn't see all these digs as a warning that dwght ain't staying if stan remains the coachThat being said, he is right about arenas....he wasn't used right....he should have been processed into glue by now

I concur... How much better could he have used a "has-been" with bum knees, anyone who makes such statements has to hate your guts if you're the coach...

Bro, I highly doubt that rumor is true. What's in Cleveland that would lure Dwight there? If the King couldn't getter done and the aftermath of his exit, I'm sure no big time talent will be rushing to go there.

If vocabulary were chips you wouldn't enough to compile a 1 man roster.

Despite the fact I enjoyed your one liner doc, he's right, the knicks don't have the pieces to get Howard without giving up one of their big two. I think the knicks should just stay the course because they are about 2 years away from a title as is with little tweaks along the way. Howard will either be in ORL, LA, or somewhere unexpected like CHA or POR. Howard shouldn't have called out SVG though, instead he should have called out Gilbert for his disappearing act.
