08:04 AM ET 06.21 | Add Terrelle Pryor to the list of NFL hopefuls who have spent some tutor time with Jon Gruden. Gruden brought several top quarterbacks to Tampa before the draft, including No. 1 overall pick Cam Newton of Auburn and the Carolina Panthers. ... "There's too much to learn from him. I enjoyed the time," Pryor said. "He's a great coach and a great mentor. I'm just trying to get better." Pryor said his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, has asked him not to speak with the media about his draft preparations. He said he was returning to Miami: "I've got some training to do." Gruden, who had his sons and some teammates of his son Deuce from Carrollwood Day School meet with Pryor, declined an interview request as he left USF's practice fields.

This guy is STILL collecting quarterbacks. Man, I'd like to see his bobble-head collection.

So, Gruden's kids got autographs and then Gruden gave Pryor a tattoo?

June 21, 2011  08:46 AM ET

How much is Gruden getting paid for this?

June 21, 2011  08:49 AM ET

Its about time Pryor gets some good advice from somebody.

I realize that, as a transplanted Brit in my beloved and adopted US, I am only learning about the innards of NFL football (the REAL football as far as I'm concerned). Still, I can't help but ask myself: "Does Gruden REALLY matter anymore?"

That is a fair question... One that I don't have a good answer for.

Gruden should be featured on an episode of "Hoarders".

Here is the REAL story. So, Gruden has a son named DEUCE?
This is just toooo easy. Headline should read " Gruden tutors another Deuce." Any headline involving drops and deuce would work.

Drew Rosenhaus and Terrelle Pryor together. Brrrrrr! Gives me the shivering timbers.

June 21, 2011  09:34 AM ET

It seems like Rosenhaus wants his client to do as little talking as possible. That's probably not a bad idea.

Chucky! Nuff said!

i hear Brad Johnson and bag o' chips.....

If you want a future, avoid chucky at all costs....he's like a business tycoon that takes over other businesses and sell them off piece by piece but he does it with SB winning football teams....he took a SB quality Bucs team built by someone else and proceeded to effectively dismantle any aspect that functioned properly...the Bucs have sucked ever since...

Just wait for the headline: "Deuce drops a Gruden...."

So Pryor says "There's too much to learn from him...." This means he probably learned nothing. What makes him think an NFL team is going to draft him? He did not overly impress at OSU against college kids and has major character issues.
He and Rosenhaus must be some piece of work, man.

June 21, 2011  11:34 AM ET

The purpose of this coming out now is to....

June 21, 2011  11:46 AM ET

Doesn't matter if he learns anything from Gruden in the grand scheme (at least short term). Gruden's name moves the needle and for a lot of people his opinion matters when it comes to if a kid can play in the NFL. If Gruden gets on TV and says "I believe this kid is going to be a star in the right system" someone is gonna take a chance and give Pryor a chance. Rosenhaus will make sure he squeezes every dime he can before we find out if he really can play.

I thought the same thing. He'll get picked up by an NFL team, but he won't get more than benchwarmer money.

Gruden hasn't been right since he caddied for John Daly--
