Nash to Knicks, after all?

08:05 AM ET 06.21 | The Knicks may address their size concerns via the draft and their backcourt via Phoenix. In an NBA Draft the Knicks did not believe would solve their size woes, along comes USC's 6-foot-11 Nikola Vucevic squarely into the picture. Vucevic was back for another Knicks workout yesterday, and he's in the mix for when the team picks at No. 17, according to multiple sources. ... There have been renewed whispers the Knicks have inquired about Suns point guard Steve Nash, who lives in SoHo in the offseason. The Knicks have talked internally about trading Chauncey Billups for Nash as both have expiring contracts. But there does not appear any reason for Suns owner Robert Sarver to make a move and give Mike D'Antoni a chance to reunite with his favorite son.

They need defenders, not more points.

I would love to see Nash retire in Phoenix uniform but if they are interested in doing a straight swap why not? Afterall Billups has been injury prone since joining Knicks and we better not give up a draft pick in the Nash deal. He's not worth it at this stage of his career.

Great idea...lets bring in another guy allergic to D

Efficient offense means no need for defense.

Nash is still and will always be a better passer then Chauncey......I think that's what they're looking for. With Amare and Carmelo shouldering the scoring load. Give Nash a year to try and win it all now, then go after CP3 the next year for the future......sounds like a good plan to me.

BS... there is no such thing as an offense so good that it doesn't need defense.

Nash will bring a huge improvement in the Knicks offense. W/ Melo as his wing, his pick n' roll w/ amare would be hard to stop. he just needs a player that would act like his shawn marion to help him w/ his weakness in the D. I would pick nash over Billups. landry fields will improve a lot w/ this guy.

But honestly, i would rather see nash in a Heat uniform. he would have 2 great defensive wing players to help him out on D. that's the best place for him to win the title. just a thought.......
