08:01 AM ET 06.22 | From Columbus to Cleveland? The Browns are intrigued enough by former Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor to do their due diligence on him for the supplemental draft, a league source told The Plain Dealer. Whether or not the Browns submit a bid for Pryor remains to be seen. Because Pryor hasn't yet officially entered the draft -- which could take place in mid-to-late July -- the Browns can't comment on him. Coach Pat Shurmur, speaking Monday at Cleveland Browns Stadium after working with kids at the team's youth football camp, declined to say whether or not the Browns would make a pitch for the controversial quarterback. Teams can submit bids in the round they wish to draft the player and are awarded the player if he's still there. The team then forfeits the corresponding pick in next year's draft.

This doesn't seem to be Holmgren's M.O...

Not seeing this one but the Plain Dealer had to print something this morning I suppose.

If true, this is why the Browns are where they are year after miserable year.

For Pryor to succeed the Browns would need to win games to give him something to sell.

The Browns or Bengals would be a great place for him to fall in obscurity.

Yeah, but he needs to get out of Ohio

I suppose if they're willing to pay the guy benchwarmer $$$ and don't mind wasting a roster spot...

June 22, 2011  08:30 AM ET

I don't believe this at all... They have a solid QB in Colt, plus this guy is now the new lebron in Ohio.

Maybe they're thinking of hiring him for the marketing team.

Good point - now that the "Mangina Sucks" marketing effort has run it's course, something new and refreshing is needed.

He's cocky, and thinks he knows more then his coach.

Cincinatti, then. Let him play somewhere where he really DOES know more than his coach.
