08:17 AM ET 06.22 | One of the few feel-good stories of the Buckeyes' offseason has taken an unkind turn, as Kyle Kalis -- whom Luke Fickell had persuaded to return over the phone -- has reportedly rescinded commitment. [Kalis] is a great high school player. He's ranked as the No. 18 prospect in the country, and top prospect in Ohio, by Rivals.com. Kalis told Scout.com he plans to visit Michigan this week and that he is keeping his options open while considering several schools, Ohio State still among them. He holds offers from numerous major programs, including Alabama, Notre Dame, LSU, Miami and most of the Big Ten, including Michigan, Ohio State, Iowa, Nebraska and Wisconsin.

Uh oh. The kid knows that Michigan won't let 30 bad apples (and a crooked coach) ruin it for the other 70 guys on the team.

Cant blame any of the recruits that decide to re-think their commitment. OSU screwed up and is gonna get shanked by the NCAA. No need to go there if im a recruit. Go play for Joe Pa, MSU, or any school you want. Im surprised more kids dont pick California schools just for the weather.

Now that's funny. And you're right.

Now that the cash machine has been turned off, it seems like all those ohio kids who "grew up dreaming of playing at osu" aren't all that interested anymore.
