Eagles' free agent moves planned 'down to minute'

08:02 AM ET 06.23 | Philadelphia reportedly has it all figured out. The Eagles have been gearing up not only for the expected financial crunch of free agency but also the odd timing of it. July -- often a time for NFL folks' vacations in normal years before training camps hit at the end of the month -- promises to be one of the wackiest months in recent NFL history. ... Howie Roseman knows the laundry list of things that will have to be accomplished in a short time: unrestricted free-agent signings, trades, draft-pick signings and undrafted free-agent signings, not to mention any trades ( Kevin Kolb, anyone?) or long-term extensions clubs choose to work out with their players. We hear the Eagles have their plan in place, down to the minute, of how they will attack the opening hours of free agency -- if and when it occurs.

Either literally or figuratively.

I'd rather have a Tebow thread. I've given up on a juicy TO one.

I live outside of Philly, Kolb will be moved. The only way he isn't moved is if the offer is substandard. Which it won't be with the amount of QB needy teams.

Will Whitey Bulger's capture in LA affect the Vikings plans to move there?

The Eagles should keep Kolb for insurance, which they will almost certainly need. But I think you're right. Somebody is going to make them an offer they can not refuse. And in the end, everyone will lose. Vick will go down, and Philly will do a Kafka-esque metamorphosis from a contender to an also-ran. They will use the first or second round pick and get a bust. And Kolb will turn out to be a mediocre starter.

Very nice! Much more intelligent and astute than 90% of the drivel the interns churn out.

I guess Philly is the only team preparing for the "Frenzy of Free Agency" all the others are just sitting around doing nothing. Come on interns...

Andy's got it all planned. First the roast beef, then the turkey, then the shrimp. Mashed potatoes with gravy. A big piece of garlic bread, and some rigatoni with meatballs on top of that. Separate plate for the chocolate cake and banana cream pie.

At least it's not another Palmer thread.

The teams supposedly linked to Kolb seem to have that covered already.
