Former Giants running back Tiki Barber and WFAN's Mike Francesa butted heads in a lively Wednesday radio interview, causing Barber to bristle and one of his former Giants teammates to sound off against the WFAN host on Twitter. ... "Tiki, you got fired," Francesa said of his time at NBC. "Oh, did I? Did I? Mike, I don't think you know the story," Barber retaliated. Later Wednesday, former Giants defensive end Michael Strahan -- now an NFL studio analyst for Fox -- was asked by one Twitter user: "Have you heard the Tiki interview on Francesca's [sic] show? It is cringe inducing!" "Francesca is an idiot," Strahan tweeted in response.

I don't know the particulars of the conversation, but I would imagine Tiki did get fired. It was like he disappeared after the "affair" scandal. Why Francesa felt the need to bring that up, I don't know. Maybe he hates him. Why not bring up the Marv Albert back-biting incident while he's at it?

I dare say that Tiki didn't exactly handle his post-football career in an exemplary fashion. I do hear, however, that his ex-wife has a rather large bank account now. I suppose Tiki's plight is karma tapping him on the shoulder and giving him a rectal exam.

No doubt. He was employed by NBC and left his pregnant (ex-)wife for an NBC intern... did he honestly think NBC might be cool with the backlash if they didn't cut him loose?
