08:20 AM ET 06.27 | Danny Coale says he's getting in touch with his inner child, attempting to punt for a program that has hosted his sucess as a wide receiver. Don't think wide [Coale] is serious about becoming Virginia Tech's starting punter this fall? Well, here he is, all alone on the Hokies' practice field, booting one after another, then chasing them down himself and doing it again. He's here in the middle of summer, when all the other punters have left town. He's here after a long, hard weightlifting session that has left his legs a little dead. ... Coale, who even before his senior season has the seventh-most career catches and receiving yards in school history, believes he actually has a chance to win the punting job. But he knows it'll take a lot of work, so here he is, trying to iron out all the details.

Does anyone know the year this was done? I remember this from way back and laughed just as hard today too!
BTW, years ago I had a nephew in high school,
that played LB/TE and T, punted and kicked. He led the team in special teams tackles, many solo. Very accurate as a FG kicker too. Chose the Army route against offers from everywhere.

Les needs to start getting JUCO transfers outta Central California Magic & Illusion junior college. Might find a WR that can disappear and re-appear in the end-zone.
