Eli: Plax more welcome than Tiki

08:04 AM ET 06.28 | Neither Tiki Barber nor Plaxico Burress are strong candidates to return to Big Blue. But if one of them would ever again don a Giants uniform, Eli Manning believes Burress would be accepted back more readily than Barber. "Probably Plaxico just because he has probably fonder memories of winning a Super Bowl and that catch for the touchdown in Super Bowl XLII," Manning said Monday on the Dan Patrick Show. "Tiki ended on a bad note and it's really a shame, he should be remembered as a great Giants running back and a terrific player, because he was. Just kind of the way he went out and burned a few bridges with the fans and kind of went after me a little bit, it's unfortunate. I'm not happy about it in that sense, so I think Plaxico would probably be welcomed back a little quicker."

This guy really is the poster child for why you shouldn't burn your bridges. Karma can be a real B.

Sorry, Tiki. The Cash for Clunkers program has expired.

Same evaluation for all other NFL teams.... Plax > Tiki

Tiki's a moron, Plex was just stupid. You can unlearn stupid! But Tiki will be a Moron for the rest of his life.

I thought it was "You can't fix stupid."

You can unlearn "ignorant," but stupid is as stupid does, forever.

Tiki shot his mouth off, Plax shot his leg, Eli shot them both down>>> There's a new Sheriff in town.

Saw him on "Real Sports" on HBO. He seemed like a humbled man, but still stopped short of taking blame for his own actions putting him in the situation he's in. People forget he was a fumbling machine before he started carrying the ball "high and tight" in his last few seasons.

Let's just get this stupid lockout over, give Tiki the ball somewhere on some team and let's see iffin he can still do something. I would look forward to a Brian Urlacher leveling him though.

Eli is a career 80.2 rated pocket passer. He has one Super Bowl ring thanks to a great defense that held the Patriots record setting offense to a season low 14 points, and a tremendous catch by David Tyree. In almost any other situation in the NFL, Manning would be viewed as a significant under performer for his career. Tiki has a big mouth, but he was entirely correct in his assessment of Eli Manning.

the guy won games for his team...he made that pass Tyre caught....give the guy his due
Tiki misplayed his hand now he's trying to lie with the dogs after he told the world they had fleas....

God, such a quick fall from grace....

Y'know, that adds another whole dimension to this debate.

True. And he out performed Romo, Favre and Brady in that title run. Might never happen again, but it happened.
Drew Brees throws 22 interceptions last year, takes his team right out of games and catches a free pass. Go figure.
